What we collect

Account information: your email address and a hashed form of your password. We never store your password in readable form.

Billing information: a Stripe customer identifier, subscription identifier, and subscription status. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our systems.

Usage content you create: saved searches, watchlist entries, workflow status, and notes you attach to records.

Technical information: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard request logs handled by our hosting provider.

How we use it

To operate your account, provide the search workspace, process subscription billing, send transactional email such as password resets, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Stripe, for payment processing. Resend, to deliver transactional email. Cloudflare, which hosts the application and database. Each receives only what it needs to perform that function.

We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of DeedScope and its users.

Cookies

We use a single strictly necessary cookie to maintain your login session. It is HTTP-only and expires after 30 days. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its associated notes, saved searches, and workflow data by contacting us, and we will action it within 30 days except where we must retain billing records to meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can access and correct your account information from the dashboard, cancel your subscription at any time, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information, and we will honour valid requests.

A note on public records

The auction records in DeedScope come from public government sources and are not personal information we collected from you. Requests to amend or remove information in a public record must be directed to the county office that published it, because DeedScope reflects what those sources publish.

Professional-use note

DeedScope organizes public auction calendar information for research and workflow speed. It is not legal advice, title advice, valuation advice, or a substitute for county records, court records, title search, property inspection, or attorney review.
